Statement No. 1
Syria is witnessing a historic milestone. This calls for the people of Syria to contribute to a transition from tyranny and oppression toward a future rooted in freedom, dignity, and justice. Since the outbreak of the Syrian revolution, the people’s demands for liberty and equality have formed the foundation of this ongoing struggle. Despite facing brutal and systematic violence, Syrians have continued to resist injustice and fight for their rights.
Today, we find ourselves at a turning point. This moment represents an opportunity to shape a new and inclusive future. The Change for Syria Network believes that the power to define Syria’s future lies in the hands of its people. Together, through collective action, civic participation, and a commitment to truth and justice, we can lay the groundwork for lasting peace and meaningful democratic transformation.
